QUENTIN

A native Texan with a tri-coastal career spanning Austin, Los Angeles, and New York, Quentin has appeared at major festivals including Austin City Limits Music Festival and SXSW while earning a reputation for fearless live performances and genre-defying songwriting. Dubbed a “genre-hopping hustler” by the Austin Chronicle, they have evolved from glam-rock roots with The Past Lives through the dance-driven So Below and introspective As Above, arriving at the expansive, emotionally charged sound heard on their upcoming release, TOMGIRL.

Written during a period of deep reflection—including a pivotal songwriting retreat at Sonic Ranch in West Texas—TOMGIRL captures an artist embracing every facet of themselves. The title itself reflects Quentin’s fluid relationship with identity. “Being a TOMGIRL is being a mirror to society; someone who feels like fitting into a box isn’t even an option,” they say. “It’s about being able to tap into both your divine feminine and masculine with ease.”

The project arrives amid a breakout year for Quentin. Recent singles have earned widespread praise, with Start-Track calling “Hello Denial” “a fierce, iconic, instant anthem” and describing Quentin as “a musical phenomenon… a superlative hybrid of Prince, Billie Eilish, Beyoncé, Steve Lacy, Mitski, and NoMBe.” Following a featured performance at KUTX’s SXSW broadcast, the station praised Quentin as “powerful, evocative, and anthemic as hell,” and consequently have named them their July 2026 Artist of the Month. Quentin was also handpicked for SPIN Magazine’s Road to Austin showcase, where their performance inspired comparisons to Prince from SPIN Creative Director Danny Klein, before going on to perform official showcases at SXSW London.

To celebrate the release, Quentin will perform the TOMGIRL Album Release Show on July 24 at Factory on 5th in Austin. Doors open at 7 p.m., showtime is 8 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to make a $9 donation benefiting the SIMS Foundation. Quentin will also perform an in-store set and record signing at Waterloo Records on August 7 at 5 p.m. and at MeadowFest supporting Cimafunk and Chuwi on August 29th.
