Austin-based quintet, lluvii, is a genre-defying modern take on Latin fusion. Led by guitarist Carol Gonzalez, the band features Kaylin Martinez on Drums, Ryan Gordon on Bass, Felix Kimbrell on Keys, and Sophia Nance on Synth and Violin.
Formed in 2023, lluvii has taken inspiration from the grooves and rhythms of both Colombian and Mexican tradition, morphing these sounds into new sonic landscapes. Incorporating these soundscapes with elements of Neo Soul, Art Rock, Indie, R&B, Jazz, and Prog Rock, results in a band that aims to use this blend of influences to bring a fresh take on Latin music. Heavily influenced by the sounds of nature as well, lluvii will take you on an unpredictable journey of eccentric, vibrant sounds.
lluvii is scheduled to take the BeatBox stage during Weekend 2 at Austin City Limits 2026, timed perfectly with the release of their latest single “Junii (llamame)”. lluvii will be joined on the ACL stage by many local Austin musicians, including Angel Estrada of Eddie Angel, Francisco Rosales of Midnight Navy, Corinne Jones of Cherri, Paulo Zambarano of Midrange Jumper and Renu Jayasinghe of Renu. Playing during hispanic heritage month, lluvii plans on taking the audience to a Colombian/Mexican backyard cookout at ACL with their stage design.
