As You Were

Elijah Ford is no stranger to life on the road. This, of course, includes his time performing with Ryan Bingham, and with father Marc Ford, not to mention an extended European and U.S. tour that would leave one wondering how on earth the younger Ford found time to record and release any music. Somehow, he did, and most impressively – from his 2011 debut Upon Waking, to his EP Ashes, and a glowing testament to his abilities as a live performer, Live Session Series No. 1 The Compound Studio/9.20.14., on which he was joined by his dad on guitar and mom Kirsten Ford on vocals.

Ford still hits the ground running when it comes to touring, but he was able to produce another gem, As You Were, absolutely solid pop/rock with Ford’s soaring vocals rising to the top.

The album was released last month, but Ford is having his official release show tonight at The Continental Club, 1315 S. Congress Ave. Tina Schlieske starts the music at 8 p.m., Ford plays at 10 p.m., then Ian Moore takes the stage at 11:30 p.m.

Celebratin’. Very recommended.
