These dear pals of Boone Carter would’ve been invited to this dang ol’ party if they hadn’t shuffled off this mortal coil. Every last one of them, harmonizing with the heavenly chorus. But are they really? Such is the lament on Carter’s brooding alt.-country croon grappling with disconnection, “Dead Friends”, featured on today’s AMM.
The lead vocalist/songwriter of Gilded Lows has a solo residency this month at Hole In the Wall, where he performs tonight with gothic noir artist Elrose and haunted alt.-folk songwriter Cassandra Knoedl‘s Secret Siren on this evening’s bill. Doors at 8 p.m.
