Houston-based musician and producer Mandy Kim Clinton goes by the moniker Pearl Crush. Through her music, Clinton explores the struggles of a dual identity on her EP Coax Me Out, a lush blend of dreamy synth pop and R&B, with stories of the experiences of a Korean American told from a unique perspective.
Pearl Crush is in Austin for a performance tonight at Hotel Vegas on E. 6th, sharing a bill with Austin-based artist Daphne Tunes, and San Diego artist Erik Trejo’s project, LIGHTWORKS. The music starts after 9 p.m. Recommended.
