Who: James Lambrecht and Charlie Martin are the talented minds behind the soundscapes of Chipper Jones, and what you hear on any recording they do is brought to life tenfold in their live shows. There is an exquisite poetry in the way they weave their prog/post/ambient rock tapestries that electrifies the room.
What: The Austin Music Minute cannot emphasize enough how Chipper Jones is one of those bands that must be experienced live. And an opportunity is coming up at Spider House Ballroom.
When and where: See Chipper Jones this Sunday night at Spider House, 2908 Fruth St., sharing the bill with OKC band Tallows, and local bands Food Group and Sometimes A Legend. Damn fine line-up all around. The music starts at 8 p.m. Recommended.
