At times, it’s comparable to the sensation of just awakening from the images of an odd dream, one of those disjointed adventures where nothing makes sense, but you piece bits together in an attempt to remember…something. NYC quartet Crumb shows a mastery of these hauntingly disparate connections and intriguingly amorphous storylines on their amazing LP AMAMA, combining a kind of disquieting psych-pop edge with mysterious sonic ephemera.
Crumb is in Austin for a show tonight, Tuesday Oct. 15, at Emo’s on E. Riverside Dr. Singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Vagabon opens the show, featuring music from her latest release, Sorry I Haven’t Called. That LP and AMAMA both need to be added to your playlist immediately. Doors at 7 p.m.
