It’s revered by those of us bats who prefer the (barely) cooler Texas summer nights. ATX-based darkwave/post-punk outfit Urban Heat hosts Dead of Summer #1, the first edition of a summer music series spotlighting synthpop, industrial and darkwave artists and DJs.
Experience the first round tonight at Chess Club on Red River. The line-up features Holy Wire, Urban Heat leader Jonathan Horstmann’s side project Cold Body Club, electronic artist and GIGANTE Records founder Japanster, plus DJ sets by Urban Heat DJ and Lefty. Doors at 9 p.m.
