Good followers of the Austin Music Minute, this will be one of those epic evenings – badass performances by badass bands, and all for a most worthy cause.
Una Noche Para Puerto Rico is a huge show going down tonight at Empire Control Room, 606 E. 7th St., in support of Direct Relief’s Puerto Rico fund, which provides support for aid needed in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. This line-up will make your brain explode with joy: Brownout as Brown Sabbath, Holy Wave, Annabelle Chairlegs, and special guests, Columbian artist Kiko Vallamizar, and sitar master Indrajit Banerjee.
All proceeds from the door go directly to the relief fund. And DJ Jake Garcia (The Black Angels) will spin a lot of awesomness between sets, with the perfect ambiance provided by The Mustachio Light Show. Doors open at 7 p.m. Get there early to see every single performance. Recommended.
