Album release show with Evan Charles and Jonas Wilson, tonight at The Continental Club. With The Joe Jacksons.
Lots of great release shows this month, including this badass double-header tonight at The Continental Club featuring a couple of longtime buds and collaborative spirits.
Two contrasting but oddly complimentary styles are in the spotlight. Here’s the lowdown: Songwriter Evan Charles celebrates his latest solo LP, the brooding, existential and cinematic Echoes at Dawn, alongside producer/multi-instrumentalist and Mr. Pink Records proprietor Jonas Wilson, who just released the electrifying and experimental Smash The Control Machine.
Both are smashing it out of the park. Charles and his band are on at 10 p.m. sharp, with Wilson performing at 11 p.m. Rock outfit The Joe Jacksons treats you to a sick set at midnight.
