Lomelda‘s first full-length release, Forever, on the Punctum Records label, is a magnificent debut, a mastery of subtleties capturing moments in time long gone but so vivid in heart and mind.
The art rock duo, featuring vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Hannah Read and drummer Zach Daniel, construct their imagery through intricate touches, patterns and rhythms throughout the album, resulting in an atmosphere that’s simultaneously inviting and nostalgic, but challenging, even haunted. There’s no denying the incredible musical dynamic between Read and Daniel on both their recordings and their live performances.
Due to the inclement weather, Lomelda is moving their album release show next Friday, Nov. 6 at Studium‘s new location, 638 Tillery St. (The new Studium spot is not yet weatherproofed.) More details to follow from Punctum. Stay tuned!
