Free Week 2016 is underway! This is your opportunity for lots of musical discovery; check out a variety of local and touring artists playing at participating Free Week venues, with no cover charge at the door. Several of our KUTX DJ’s have made a few recommendations on who to see. Here’s what the Austin Music Minute suggests for tonight:
- Grace London, The Sideshow Tragedy, and Duncan Fellows at The Belmont, 305 W. 6th St. Doors at 6 p.m.
- Surfer Blood headlines the outside stage tonight at the Mohawk, 912 Red River, with Löwin and Otis the Destroyer on the bill. Doors at 6:30 p.m. Inside, catch Slomo Drags, Far Far Future, Fever Bones, Tapajenga, and Bitter Birds. Doors at 7:30 p.m.
- The Sidewinder, 715 Red River, also has two stages of great music tonight. Outside, it’s Daniel Eyes and The Vibe, and Villasana. Inside, it’s Sounds Del Mar (featured on today’s AMM), Maxam, Cosms, and Space Mariner. Doors at 7 p.m.
