Front Porch Music

Nothing beats music on the porch. Here in Austin, we’re especially fortunate to enjoy such a lovely outdoor experience, especially if the weather’s just right, and there’s a certain intimacy that comes with it that makes it all the more special. The musician and the listener connect on a more direct level.

Local non-profit Front Porch, which works to create a unique space for community interaction, entertainment, and service in Austin, took that idea a step further with their music series, Unplugged on The Front Porch at All Saints’ Episcopal Church. Their goal is to make an intimate listening space for music lovers with a deep appreciation for live performances, while showing support for local musicians.

Unplugged on The Front Porch will present a performance by The Eastern Sea tomorrow night in the Sanctuary at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 209 W. 27th St. It’s an early show; doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the music begins at 7 p.m. The Austin Music Minute recommends giving a listen to The Eastern Sea’s The Witness, which should give you an idea of just how beautiful this performance will be. Recommended.
