Frosty Felt Flyer

It’s Palms, Out and Club, respectively. And it’s an awesome Thursday night at Radio Coffee South.

AMM Feb 28 2024

Frosty Palms, Felt Out and Flyer Club perform Thursday at Radio Coffee and Beer on Menchaca Rd.

Felt Out

Another exceptional line-up at Radio Coffee and Beer’s OG location in South Austin has your Thursday night plans sorted. Presenting the bill, for your perusal:

  • Call it a band. A recording project. A creative endeavor. Bedroom recordings and beyond. Or perhaps angular/post-punk/indie pop goodness. In any case, Frosty Palms anxiously brings the “Sweat.”
  • One artist with a background in Hindustani classical music, the other with a Music Theory and Composition degree. Together, damn magical chemistry. Sowmya Somanath and Walter Nichols produce shimmering electro-pop with a gorgeous acoustic bent as Felt Out.
  • Before social media, there were flyers. They’re still around. At one point, Aaron Chávez and Connor McCampbell made it a way of life, in stark black and white simplicity. But Flyer Club is here to bring experimental (musical) funkiness. Okay, maybe other funkiness, too.

It’s all tomorrow night, Thursday Feb. 29, at Radio Coffee and Beer South, 4204 Menchaca Rd. Doors at 8 p.m.
