Love Austin Music Month: Gentlemen Rogues tonight at Chess Club, supporting Che Arthur, with Tuskola.

It’s the infectious dynamic of punk ‘n’ pop led by rampaging guitar. True, the LP Surface Noise is a great introduction to this band, but 2013’s “Persistence is Futile” from their self-titled EP still hits so perfectly.

Today’s Love Austin Music Month spotlight shines on Austin four-piece Gentlemen Rogues, led by songwriter/vocalist/guitarist Danny Dunlap. They play a set tonight at Chess Club, supporting the solo acoustic performance by Chicago songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Che Arthur. Austin songwriter/musician Ryan Brewer’s project Tuskola is on the bill. Doors at 7 p.m.
