The Austin independent label spotlights E. Artifact, Willy Steg, Giraffe Neck and Thick Heavy Clouds this week.
It’s week three of the Happen Twice residency at Cheer Up Charlie’s, another excellent introduction to new-to-you music from the local label, which includes AMM-featured artists like KindKeith and Stalefish on its growing roster. Happen Twice also works with artists and entrepreneurs of all disciplines, assisting them in creating more sustainable and thriving careers.
This week’s Happen Twice line-up features performances by songwriter/producer David Alvarez’s jazz/soul/psych project, E. Artifact; dream/garage pop artist Willy Steg; alt.-hip-hop fusion outfit Giraffe Neck (“Memphis, California” is today’s AMM track); and songwriter Casey performing as Thick Heavy Clouds.
