The story of how The Hot Nut Riveters came to be begins in the diabolical mind of one Guy Forsyth. Now don’t knock the messenger; Forsyth would proudly use the description “diabolical.” And rightly so – you’ll find yourself having fun and laughing out loud with this rag-tag talented team of hoodlums.
The all-acoustic band specializes in a wide and witty assortment of original tunes inspired by traditional musical styles from days gone by, Recession-Era music to cut a rug to. Give a listen to Mustache Girl (2014) and you’ll hear a whole bunch of diverse influences coming together, breathing new life into classic styles that get your feet kickin’. The band had a great time recording the album, which makes it instantly addictive.
Don’t miss out on the crazy good times. See The Hot Nut Riveters tonight at The White Horse, 500 Comal St. They start the evening out at 8 p.m. Then stick around for the Rollfast Ramblers at 10 p.m., and Rosie & The Ramblers at midnight. What a lovely Monday night jam, kids. Recommended.
