All right. Time for a bit of bragging. The Austin Music Minute has been following the work of Grace Rowland Park (songwriter and front woman of The Deer) and Jack Wilson for a number of years now. It was Wilson who introduced your humble AMM host to Grace Park & The Deer’s music around the time he was performing tracks from his 2012 self-titled release, and on the verge of sharing Spare Key (2013) with the world. Park had recently released the gorgeous An Argument For Observation (2013). It came as no surprise that the two talented artists wrote and performed together. Something just clicks and flows quite naturally whenever they do.
Hear for yourself. Experience the magic when Jack and Grace perform tonight at The Cactus Cafe, 24th and Guadalupe in the Texas Union building. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the music begins at 8:30.
