Perhaps you were one of the lucky (and most well-informed, pre-internet) individuals to experience the brilliance of Kraftwerk in real time. Or, like most of us, your first exposure to the electronic soundscapes lightyears ahead of our time came to you thanks to Afrika Bambaataa and the Soul Sonic Force (“GO LADIES”). Since starting what was initially a multi-media project in 1970 at the Kling Klang Studio in Düsseldorf, the long-reaching influence of Kraftwerk’s electronic experimentation spans decades across numerous genres, from instrumentation to synthesized vocals.
Then, taking things to the next level, there’s Kraftwerk’s 3D concert series, a phenomenal, breathtaking experience that’s nothing short of mesmerizing. Kraftwerk’s 3D tour includes a performance in Austin tonight, Monday June 27, at ACL Live. Doors at 6:30 p.m., and the show begins at 8 p.m. – complete with 3D glasses.
