Rather than cancel altogether due to COVID-19, the 21st annual Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) kept the music going by having this year’s conference available online and free to anyone interested in attending – panels, in-depth interviews, and all the musical showcases.
The event wraps up this weekend with a live stream showcase honoring Pride Month, spotlighting four outstanding music artists in the Latinx LGBTQ community on SummerStages Anywhere. All manner of musical discovery to be had with performances by Puerto Rican songwriter Kany Garcia; Columbian singer and rap artist Mabiland (featured on today’s AMM with the track “Dime” from the EP Neosoul); Chilean pop artist Javiera Mena; and Puerto Rican band Circo.
The showcase is scheduled for 2 p.m. (Central) tomorrow, Saturday June 13th, on LAMC’s Twitch channel. So badass.
