You’d expect no less than an outrageously over-the-top party from Hotel Vegas when it comes to special occasions. Well…that’s pretty much a thing all the time with Vegas, but today especially. The E. 6th St. venue is celebrating its 13-year anniversary with a big blow out today, Thursday March 7, 2 p.m. to 2 a.m., with endless live music, fabulous drag, DJs galore and… something unsettlingly titled Hot Take Olympics (slowly backs away, shaking head). It’s pretty much three stages of awesome – Vegas’ patio stage, the inside stage, and next door at The Volstead.
Tonight’s badass bands include A Giant Dog, The Well, Holy Wave, Lord Friday the 13th, Pussy Gillette (“Hot Wire” from Permanent Trash is featured on today’s AMM), Como Las Movies, The Pinky Rings, Billy Glitter, plus DJ Boyfriend, uLOVEi, performances by the Vixens of Volstead and more. Will you survive?
