UK electro-pop duo Maribou State, featuring Chris Davids and Liam Ivory, engages a fuller, broader and multi-textural style of lo-fi alt.-pop on their third LP, Hallucinating Love, borne of a period of darkness and emerging hope. In 2022, Davids was diagnosed with a rare brain condition that left the duo in great uncertainty about what lay ahead. In many ways, from signature moments to organic hooks, Hallucinating Love contains heartfelt cathartic, euphoric moments celebrating the music they create.
