Midnight

Even just a brief listen to “Midnight,” Emily Herring‘s heart-aching torch tune featured on today’s AMM, should give you some idea of the power of Herring’s bold and crystalline vocals. They’ve even drawn a few comparisons to Patsy Cline. It’s a voice that belongs in the best honky-tonks, dance halls and dives, emitting a deep reverence for all the great country classics, from outlaw to ballad. Herring owns it all with that voice.

Yes, today’s AMM feature is a late-night show, but this one is well worth staying up late for. Don’t miss Emily Herring tomorrow night, Wednesday July 21, at Sagebrush, 5500 S. Congress Ave. Herring’s set begins at midnight. Texas Tycoons start out the night at 8 p.m., followed by Mike Barfield the Tyrant of Texas Funk at 10 p.m.
