This year, California-based quartet Super Whatevr unleashed their full-length release, Never Nothing, rock powered by a pulse-quickening nervous energy on each individual track, taking on cathartic qualities, like shaking out whatever demons lurk within. No two songs sound much alike, one after the other in different tones and varying paces, like several ideas brought to fruition on one album.
Super Whatevr is approaching the end of their tour, and that includes a stop in Austin tonight for a show at Barracuda, 611 E. 7th St., with San Diego band Beach Goons, and Ontario trio Dubè on the bill. Doors at 8 p.m. And there’s no slowing down.
