Songwriters Aimee Bobruk and Ethan Azarian teamed up for a special November residency at The Continental Club Gallery this month. It must be said that this is a most special musical pairing; not only do we have two unconventional and talented songwriter/musicians who let ideas flow freely outside the box (check out Bobruk’s self-titled release, and practically anything from the Orange Mothers or Azarian’s solo work), but both are also unique visual artists – painters – as well.
You’re in for a treat. Tonight is the final evening of Bobruk’s and Azarian’s residency at the Gallery, 1315 S. Congress Ave., upstairs above the main venue. It’s an early show that starts at 8:30 p.m. Trube, Farrell & Snizz follow with some South Austin R&B and soul at 10:30 p.m. Sit back, relax and take it all in. Recommended.
