rrunnerrss’ self-titled LP channels the unease of instability in an endlessly tumultuous existence.

rrunnerrss’ LP release show Saturday at Hole In the Wall, with Stella and the Very Messed, and Cheetah Cheetah.
It’s an ideal collaboration that would appeal to many hardcore ATX music nerds. To put it most basically, the talent in rrunnerrss runs deep: Michael St. Clair, Lauren Gurgiolo, Andy Beaudoin, Carolyn Trowbridge, and Wiley Green, led by songwriter/composer Michael Zapruder. These are musicians who’ve played with Okkervil River, Star Parks, Black Pumas, Heartless Bastards, Pocket Sounds, and Nori. To say “supergroup” is a bit of an understatement.
This weekend, the combined super talents celebrate rrunnerrss’ self-titled debut LP, a beautiful but heartbreaking exploration of safety and belonging in a world guaranteeing neither, instead reeling hopelessly toward something more destructive.
Don’t miss rrunnerrss’ album release show Saturday night at Hole In the Wall, with a line-up featuring Stella and the Very Messed, and Cheetah Cheetah. Several supergroups right here. Doors at 8 p.m.
