The Austin Music Minute is supported by Howler Brothers, an Austin-based designer of creative outdoor apparel since 2011, and by Planet K, Austin’s local hemp emporium since 1990.
Takin’ the album title If It All Works Out to heart because Sir Woman songwriter/vocalist Kelsey Wilson recently pointed out something very important. Wilson, who initially gained recognition as a lead vocalist/violinist for Wild Child in the early 2010s, has a baby boy on the way. But, as any working musician will tell you, musicians don’t get maternity leave. Taking an extended break between gigs is not really an option. So, leading up to the big day is Sir Woman’s Maternity Leave Residency, kicking off tonight at C-Boy’s on South Congress. The crew takes the stage at 10:30 p.m. James Alexander Adkins’ musical project Sketch opens the show at 9:30 p.m.
