It’s a massive weekend for art lovers. Today is the first day of the 12th annual East Austin Art Tour (E.A.S.T.), a free, self-guided tour of phenomenal artistic talent displayed at a number of spaces throughout East Austin. The tour also features a number of on-site presentations, interactive events, pop-up venues, and a number of parties with…hello?!…live music sets. But of course!
Today’s Austin Music Minute puts the spotlight an exciting debut performance happening tonight at a special E.A.S.T. afterparty at The North Door, 502 E. Brushy St. Local musician and songwriter Geoff Earle, formerly of Fresh Millions, is now making these massively cool electronic jams under the moniker The Big Fist, and you can see him play tonight at 10 p.m. The bill includes sets by the mystical, magical, maniacal Total Unicorn, super-beatastic BEATIMPRINT X John Gomi and DJ LD.
Fabulous art and fantastic music. Can you resist? Probably not. Doors open at 8 p.m. Get moving.
