This is a celebration.
Throughout June, the Black Live Music Fund will host Sonik Frootz, A Black Musik Residency at Antone’s, featuring a packed line-up of outstanding musical talent for every show. And it covers a lot of ground, from hip-hop to rap to the blues, soul to funk to rock – it’s all in the mix.
The first round of Sonic Frootz launches tonight, Thursday June 8, with performances by Riders Against the Storm, The Past Lives, Clarence James, J Soulja, Latasha Lee (“I Don’t Want You” is featured on today’s AMM), and comedian Bryson Brown bringing the Lifestyle Jokes. Doors at 7 p.m. And heed the words of Chaka the Selecta, “Finna turn up and celebrate being a Black musician in Austin TONIGHT.”
