New month, more bands! Austin label Spaceflight Records continues its happy hour live music series with more awesome artists from the Spacefight roster. All shows are scheduled for 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. every Thursday at Scholz Garten, 1607 San Jacinto Blvd. Of course, it’s socially-distanced for your safety; masks required. Make plans for a quality hang:
–May 6: Hell yes. It’s a damn fine idea to lose yourself in the highway-vibin’ country rock greatness of How You Make A Fool. Cheers to frontman Jesse Ebaugh for that badass twang. The Tender Things kick off the new round of happy hour sets tomorrow.
–May 13: This is the way to get your shreds in. Recharged and ready following their recent lightning-bolt performance at Empire, Think No Think takes over the Scholz stage at full volume. You ready?
–May 20: Effervescent and ever fabulous, Carrie Fussell (Calliope Musicals) brings a magnificent solo performance. In addition to the live tunes, treat yourself to a DJ set by Jank Sinatra.
–May 27: Welcome to all thangs rawk ‘n’ roll. And some surf rock from hell as well, courtesy of Billy King and The Bad Bad Bad. Last chance for the human race…
