It’s. Here. The AMM had word of a new David Shabani release on the radar since last year, and it’s been worth the wait. True to its very title, the ultra-cool Shabani’s Smooth Sounds of the Summer slides right to the top of your summertime soundtrack essentials. C’est la musique de vos rêves d’été.

Hear the latest when Shabani performs tomorrow night, Thursday Aug. 12, at Empire Control Room, 606 E. 7th St. And it’s one sick line-up with eternally badass dynamic duo Geto Gala, featuring Deezie Brown and Jake Lloyd. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the music starts at 8 p.m.
