Is the sun there, or are those darkened clouds forever in the way? Tall Juan hopes it won’t be long…

Tall Juan tonight at Mohawk, with Wet Dip.

From his 2017 rockabilly-ish debut Olden Goldies, to reconnecting to the roots of Argentinian music in Atlantico, and the dark internal struggle of Raccoon Nights, Tall Juan (Juan Zaballa) carries an expansive musical evolution. The 6-year-old who picked up his first electric guitar back in San Antonio de Padua, Buenos Aires would unleash a lifelong obsession with music that would eventually bring him to to New York City.

Tall Juan released his single “Will I See The Sun?” (featured on today’s AMM) just ahead of a new EP dropping soon. Hear the new music when he plays tonight at Mohawk on the indoor stage. Austin-based trio Wet Dip opens the show. Doors at 8 p.m.
