Tearjerk single release show Saturday at Hole In the Wall, with S.L. Houser and BRUCE.
It’s not so much an indecisive moment as it is a terribly pivotal one. Life could go in so many directions, but you ultimately forge that direction. Dream-folk rockers Tearjerk reveal a conflicted soul in “fork”, engaged in this seemingly eternal struggle with one devastating realization: “the mind is strong, but the body is so weak…” The anxiety is more present as Vanessa Jollay brings it out like a mantra: “gotta change the way that i think / gotta change the way that i think…”
The new single is from Tearjerk’s forthcoming debut album and the angels whirr, recorded with Dan Duszynski at Dandy Sounds in Dripping Springs, set for release May 9.
