The number of spins of “Friends” on Spotify alone was enough to send Chief Cleopatra (Jalesa Jessie) over the moon. But the momentum keeps picking up. Following a Hot Summer Nights headlining performance at The Green Jay recently, Chief Cleopatra is also among the list of must-see artists in the huge line-up for the upcoming Health Alliance for Austin Musicians’ HAAM Day 2021 livestream fundraiser on Sept. 14. And, according to a recent Instagram post, a big announcement is on the way for the Austin-based songwriter/soul-rock singer. Stay tuned.
But first, Chief Cleopatra has an acoustic performance tonight, Tuesday September 7, at Geraldine’s, 605 Davis St. at Hotel Van Zandt. The show starts at 8 p.m. This is an indoor show; please remember to bring your mask.
