Vinyl Time

With all due respect, the Austin Music Minute acknowledges that, if you’re an über Wilco fan, you’re anticipating the release of Star Wars on vinyl Oct. 13th (the rest of the universe has to wait until Oct. 30th). But hey – there’s a little something to tie you over, a special 7-inch release of “Random Name Generator” paired with a live acoustic version of “Bull Black Nova,” from a performance at this year’s Solid Sound Festival. The 7-inch vinyl comes out this Friday.

As if all this weren’t enough to geek out over, according to Wilco’s website (as of today, Sept. 28th), the band will be doing an instore acoustic performance at Waterloo Records at 2 p.m. tomorrow, along with a signing of Star Wars CD copies and the new poster book Beyond The Fleeting Moment: Wilco Concert Posters 2004-2014, after the set. However, there is no confirmation of this instore yet on Waterloo’s website, so do keep your eyes peeled for more details.

Wilco has two Austin shows set up for tomorrow night and Wednesday night at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater, 801 Red River. Doors open at 6 p.m., and William Tyler opens both shows. Recommended.
