Keeping the music going. Friends rally tonight to support Lukens following a recent theft.
Walker Lukens is calling tonight’s fundraiser a “Pity Party,” but after you’ve had all of your guitars stolen – collected throughout the years, essential to your career, your way of living, your life’s blood – it’s more about getting back on track rather than wallowing.
The theft occurred last January at Lukens’ former studio, Paradise Lunch. In addition to his own instruments, guitars belonging to Jeff Klein (L.C. Franke), Grant Eppley, Eric Franco and Travis Beale were also stolen, with a loss of 21 guitars in total.
To help recoup, Hole In the Wall hosts Walker Lukens’ Pity Party featuring live performances by Carousel Shy, The Brood, Coco Zandi, Bad Boy Croy, Grant Eppley and Zack Wiggs. Partake of the 4/20 Spelling Bee hosted by his royal high-ness Kevin Curtin, and witness the amateur auctioneering skills of your AMM host as I auction the clothes off Walker Lukens’ back. (As in, literally. Walker’s selling the clothes off his back. While onstage. What have I signed up for?)
