The great thing about Rosie and The Ramblers is that their music has a little bit of everything – country, folk, rock, classic sounds with a contemporary approach. It’s all good, and especially so when you hear it live. This is why Ramblers’ front woman and songwriter Selena “Rosie” Rosanbalm insisted on recording their forthcoming full-length release, Whatever You Need, live in the studio with the entire band performing together, rather than layering tracks. The goal was to capture the essence of their live performance, and doing so surely has. (The featured track on today’s Austin Music Minute is “Tall, Dark and Lonesome.”)
Looks like Rosie and The Ramblers’ official album release show is May 30th, but it’ll do you good to see them play tonight at The White Horse, 500 Comal St. Rounding out the bill are the Rollfast Ramblers and the Hot Nut Riveters. Rosie and the gang go on at midnight. Very recommended, indeed.
