The Nothing Song: What’s Your Name? at Hotel Vegas on Wednesday, with Ladyluck and Sunspite.
The AMM faces a wonderful dilemma on the daily. Never make the assumption that you know several Austin bands. Not true. Not even scratching the surface. The city is a treasure trove yet to be enjoyed, and thanks to The Nothing Song, you’ll have even more recommendations at your fingertips.
The Austin Music Award-winning booking and promotional vehicle, founded by Trish Connelly, began the series The Nothing Song Presents: What’s Your Name? back in January to highlight new and upcoming bands in the area, typically showcasing two to three bands each Wednesday night at Hotel Vegas. These mid-week early shows provide ample opportunity for music lovers to discover local music – and perhaps a new favorite band.
The next What’s Your Name? show is tomorrow night, Wednesday Sept. 18, at Hotel Vegas, featuring sets by ladyluck (the single “Hazel” is today’s AMM selected track) and Sunspite. Doors at 6 p.m., with music starting at 7 p.m.
