Uptown Saturday Night host, Paul Carrubba, filled in last week and paid tribute to one of his heroes: Joe Strummer. Joe would’ve turned 71 on August 21, so Paul played a wide selection of tracks across his career—from his days with the 101ers to his work with his last band, The Mescaleros.
You’ll also hear tracks from Hollie Cook’s new dub album as well as a classic fusion-y prog rock track from King Crimson.
If you want to go on a deep dive into The Clash and Joe Strummer, Paul has curated his favorites here.
