Welcome to the Austin Music Experience. Our new program–hosted by Jody Denberg–seeks to bring the Austin music experience to you, with an accent on live performances. You’ll get a sampling of new Texas music; artists in Studio 1A; shows from the Cactus Cafe; a backstage peak into SXSW, ACL, and Fun Fun Fun Fest; and classic recordings from the KUTX archives.
Our premiere is action-packed: Black Joe Lewis brings the party, Not In The Face puts on their KISS makeup, and Robert Earl Keen and Lyle Lovett share their first impressions of one another. Also, Fitz & the Tantrums and Spoon show us exactly why they’re considered two of the best live bands in the world, and country crooner Bruce Robison tells us about his favorite Austin Music Experience.
