Brandy Zdan‘s new self-titled album may be her official solo debut, but she’s no stranger to the music world. Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Zdan moved to Austin as part of the folk duo Twilight Hotel. Not long after that, the duo broke up. While performing briefly with The Trishas, Zdan had to give some serious thought about her next endeavor. Her 2013 solo EP Lone Hunter was the beginning of a new direction on the horizon.
Now living in Nashville, Zdan is preparing for a tour in support of her album, which includes a show Feb. 4th at Radio Coffee. KUTX’s Laurie Gallardo recently spoke with Zdan about her work, and about evolving as a musician.
