San Antonio songwriter Ila Minori is performing a special acoustic set with her Austin trio and it is the formal release of her debut album “Traveling with Ghosts.” Written largely during a sojourn in Italy, these songs speak of broken relationships and lost hope and the light in the faraway window.

It’s called “Fighting for the Title”, and was produced by Kris Wade and myself. We had a lot of fun experimenting with and creating our own samples while sticking with the integrity of the songs, and we are REALLY happy with the results. So happy we are pressing it to vinyl! The artwork (thanks to Dave Creany for the photos and Luke Litman for the cover art and desgin) was inspired by the classic 1987 NES game, Mike Tyson’s Punch Out, and the vinyl is designed to look like a cartridge. You will hear classic NES sounds on the record, and soon we will release some videos also inspired by the NES days of the 1980s. I can safely say is this the most ambitious project I’ve worked on yet. I’m very proud of it, and I hope you will run and tell all your friends and strangers to buy one. Once they are gone they are GONE.
