Looking for something to do with the little ones? Join KUTX and Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child for The Breakfast Boogie – a live concert series for kids and their grown-ups, under the shady trees of the Far Out Lounge in South Austin.

This extra-special, two-hour edition of The Breakfast Boogie will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop and features performances, demonstrations and workshops from local Hip Hop  artists, breakdancers and DJs at the shady, roomy Far Out Lounge. Featured performers include renowned rapper Bavu Blakes, known globally as “The Scholar MC” along with DJ Smackola of Smacky’s Scratch School 4 Kids on the turntables from 10am-11am with a special set suitable for all audiences. After all this, kids will want to learn how it all happens, so superstar turntablist DJ Monte Carlo will demonstrate how the magic happens.

Fun-seekers will also enjoy breakdancing demonstrations from Burn N’Serve youth breakdancing crew with their very own mentor and dance legend Coach Mondo teaching a short workshop. The dance sessions will be hosted by breakdancer / organizer extraordinaire Romeo Navarro of BBoy City and kids can also contribute to a graffiti artwork masterpiece with artist Remote One
