SIMS Heart of the City Benefit

Willie Nelson gets the credit for bringing the hippies and the rednecks together in 1970’s Austin. They wore their hair long and played outlaw country at the legendary Armadillo World Headquarters and at honky tonks all over Texas. A particularly Texan version of Twang was born in our backyard and this year we celebrate the cosmic cowboy with story and song at our annual Heart of the City event. Come get cosmic y’all!

Heart of the City benefits SIMS Foundation and the Austin music family. SIMS provides life-saving mental health and addiction recovery services to Austin musicians, music industry professionals, and their family members.

The benefit will take place on Saturday, December 2nd at Emo’s with a VIP cocktail party at 7pm.

Artists performing include: James Petralli, Bob Livingston,

Kelley Mickwee, John Baumann, and many more

with a Special Tribute to George Reiff by Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer.
