On the Sunday morning after South By when most music lovers are catching some zzzz’s, Rolling Stone Senior Writer David Fricke joins our own Jody Denberg on the KUTX airwaves for their annual four-hour “SXSW Wrap Up Show”. In years past they have been joined by guests Robyn Hitchcock, Sean Lennon and Alejandro Escovedo – and this year they were visited by the legendary Irish DJ, journalist, publicist and self-proclaimed dodgy geezer BP Fallon.
On this first day of Spring, SX shows were discussed, new CDs were premiered, vintage record-store finds were unwrapped and someone’s cell phone rang throughout one whole break (it was Robert Plant calling BP’s cell phone to try and join the fray).
