Wye Oak’s Jenn Wasner has stopped by Studio 1A to showcase her new project Flock of Dimes. When compared to her work with drummer Andy Stack, Flock of Dimes’ sound is more stripped down, but just as powerful. Wasner’s somber vocals compliment the upbeat instrumentation and careful guitar riffs perfectly. It’s a great blend of synthpop and indie singer/songwriter music. Her new album If You See Me, Say Yes features all kinds of guitar styles, all backed by some great electronic soundscapes that will be sure to make anyone start dancing. Flock of Dimes end their latest tour tonight at 3TEN Austin City Limits Live.
