Hailing from Colorado Springs, Night Beds’ Winston Yellen is one to watch. His first full-length album, Country Sleep, is an ethereal, expressive, country-tinged work of music that’s worth a listen, though Yellen took a long road to get there. Night Beds formed in 2006 and released three EPs between 2008 and 2011, after which Yellen dropped out of college and took a five-month sojourn throughout the states, living out of his car and taking random jobs along the way. Finally, a friend encouraged him to go to Nashville, his current home base, where he lived and recorded his album in a pre-Civil War house previously owned by June Carter and Johnny Cash.
We were excited to have him in our studio June 6th, check it out right here!
