Sea Wolf, led by Alex Brown Church, creates literate, heartfelt music that reshapes the customary aspects of traditional folk, folk rock, and chamber pop. Church, an NYU film school graduate, recorded his most recent album, “Old World Romance,” close to his California home in his own studio, a move that the album certainly reflects, exploring themes about coming home and facing the realities of life.
