Alex Lahey Has All The Answers

Alex Lahey’s latest album The Answer is Always Yes

In her latest release, The Answer is Always Yes, Australian-based singer Alex Lahey doesn’t buy into the expected despair that comes after a breakup. Instead, she is self-indulgent and infuriated.

Lahey presents the same vivacious rock found in her first two albums, but her lyrics’ added fury allows the grungy undertones to shine. She leans into the vulgarity that post-breakup emotions bring out. Such reflections can be both humorous and irritating; Lahey has watched both of her exes get married as mentioned in the track “Congratulations”.

Lahey’s answer can be “Hell Yeah,” the answer can be “F#$K YEAH” if she wants it to be, but Lahey intends to have a good time pushing past the encroaching fears, taking every risk possible.

Alex Lahey dropped by Studio 1A to deliver this message while visiting Austin at the tail end of her US tour.
