Highly acclaimed singer-songwriter Angel Olsen has taken her pre-existing listeners and new fans on an introspective deep dive with her vulnerable new album, All Mirrors. In her latest, she allows the goth tones that have always lurked in her craft come to the forefront of her sound, clawing into her fans with her stunning singular vibrato, huge string arrangements, and bellowing synths. Olsen says it herself: “This record is about owning up to your darkest side, finding the capacity for new love and trusting change, even when you feel like a stranger.” The Chicago native learns to face herself and forgive what she sees, telling her fans to do the same. By communicating the process of losing empathy and trust for destructive people, Olsen tells her listeners to walk away from the noise, and have solitude and peace in their own thoughts.
We had the pleasure of having the one-of-a-kind voice perform for our Concert Club in Studio 1A ahead of her performance at Levitation Festival. Check out the live performance below!
